The Simplecom SA516 NVMe/SATA M.2 SSD and SATA to USB Adapter provides a compact dual-slot solution for accessing M.2 NVMe, M.2 SATA and 2.5" SATA drives through USB-C. Supporting transfer rates up to 10Gbps with NVMe M.2 drives or SATA M.2 and 2.5 inch SATA drives up to 6Gbps, UASP, TRIM and plug-and-play operation, the adaptor provides convenient storage access for data transfer, backups and system upgrades.

The M.2 slot supports both NVMe and SATA protocols and is compliant with the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. It also supports SATA-based M.2 and 2.5" SATA drives, offering broad compatibility with a wide range of storage devices.

Important Notes

• M.2 and SATA ports cannot be used simultaneously. Please connect either an M.2 or 2.5" SATA drive at a time.
• SATA port supports 2.5" SATA drives only; 3.5" SATA hard drives are not supported.
• This adaptor does not support hot-swapping. Please unplug the USB cable before plugging or unplugging the SSD.
• SA516 supports both NVMe and SATA-based M.2 SSDs (M Key or B+M Key). When using a SATA M.2 SSD, bandwidth is limited to 6Gbps, which is the maximum transfer rate of the SATA interface.
