Buyer / Stock Planner

PC Case Gear specialises in selling the latest high-end computer hardware and enthusiast products - graphics cards, CPUs, motherboards, keyboards, gaming cases and more. Our catalogue is vast, with over 5,000 SKUs and 50-100 SKUs phased in and out each week.

Our buying team is responsible for ensuring that we are purchasing the correct quantities and at the most competitive price. It is a fast-paced environment, similar to stock trading, and our culture is informal, self-managed, and with a focus on getting things done.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Daily ordering: checking pricing and availability with multiple suppliers and negotiating for the best price
  • Maintaining and updating product ETAs and keeping track of supplier backorders
  • Monitoring trends in the market and phasing in new products
  • Forging a strong relationship with vendors and identifying win-win opportunities

Skills & experience

  • Extensive knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills combined with an ability to multi-task
  • A very hands-on, attention-to-detail, proactive attitude, willing and able to get involved in all aspects of the business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience in a buying/planner role is essential

PC Hardware Testing & Assembly Manager

Due to ongoing company growth, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Technical Service Manager to join our team. This is an exciting hands-on position where you will be responsible for organising, managing, and improving our testing department. You will be a team player and responsible for completing part of the daily workload, while leading by example and providing guidance to the team. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in PC hardware and who is passionate about the products we sell. You need to be able to demonstrate a high level of tech knowledge, a strong ability to multitask, all while maintaining a friendly and professional approach to your work and colleagues.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Managing a team of 15-20 people across hardware testing and system builds depending on workload
  • Testing and troubleshooting PC hardware based on customer fault reports
  • Maintaining workflow and managing resources in response to fluctuations in workload
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring staff to ensure KPI's are exceeded
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to obtain the best outcome for all parties
  • Maintaining a clean and professional workplace
  • Develop and record testing protocols
  • Maintain a catalogue of spare parts and testing hardware
  • Ensure documenting procedures are adhered to by all staff
  • Strict adherence to policy and stock control procedures
  • Adhering and enforcing all relevant OH&S practices
  • Rostering and management of staff and workflow
  • Stock control and audits across system builds and testing departments

Skills & experience

  • Extensive knowledge of PC hardware and testing
  • Proven managerial experience in a similar role
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • High standard of clerical work and data accuracy
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to multitask

Digital Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a creative, driven individual with a passion for marketing and community growth, who can connect and engage with PC gamers and enthusiasts on their level across our communication channels.

About the role

Thanks to continued growth, we are seeking a highly talented and experienced individual to grow and develop our digital marketing activity.

This role is both hands on and strategic – covering the creative design and production of campaigns and ad copy, coordinating and executing vendor promotions, and managing our social channels.

You will use data insights and analytics combined with your general knowledge of market trends to improve scheduling and content plans. Audience and platform insights, as well as reporting are an everyday occurrence, as is the day to day execution and community management of content across the social channels.

A genuine passion for the enthusiast PC and gaming scene is a must.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and develop relationships with vendors and suppliers identifying opportunities for campaigns and promotions
  • Schedule and execute promotions across the website, EDMs and social
  • Provide proof-of-execution and report on co-branded activity
  • Manage and produce a weekly EDM in addition to ad-hoc email blasts
  • Maintain an annual content calendar for product launches and promotions
  • Take charge of social media management across all channels; designing, scheduling and executing engaging content, analyzing and reporting on performance, and managing the community
  • Create written copy for the website
  • Approve and publish content produced by our external production team
  • Coordinate and manage brand mini stores, landing pages

Key requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in business, marketing, commerce or related field
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in a similar digital role and also in e-commerce marketing
  • Proven management skills, with ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently
  • Have an obsession for perfecting the customer experience
  • A demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive digital marketing & communications plans, and translate them into day-to-day activities
  • Enjoy a fast paced, proactive work environment with clear directives and KPIs
  • Ability to use a variety of web development and graphic design tools (HTML, Adobe suite, Google Analytics, content management systems) is a must
  • Natural passion to working in the enthusiast PC hardware gaming space
