The SilverStone FS305-E is a high-performance hot-swap adapter cage designed to maximize storage efficiency by accommodating up to five 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SAS-12G/SATA 6Gbit/s drives within three 5.25-inch device bays. Each drive bay is secured with an individual metal key lock, ensuring enhanced data protection. The built-in 80mm cooling fan provides excellent heat dissipation, maintaining optimal drive temperatures during operation. Independent drive status LEDs offer real-time monitoring of each drive's activity and health. With full support for hot-swap functionality, the FS305-E allows for quick and convenient drive replacements or upgrades without system downtime. Constructed with a durable plastic front panel and steel body, the unit measures 146mm in width, 126mm in height, and 206mm in depth, weighing approximately 1.8 kilograms. It features versatile power connectivity options, including SATA 15-Pin and Molex 4-Pin connectors, and supports 7-Pin SATA or SAS primary channel connections for seamless integration into various system configurations.

In order to fit five 3.5" drive bays into the space of three 5.25" bays, the sides are designed flat with no cutouts to fit between 5.25" bays with protruding lip or brackets. Therefore, please make sure your case has 5.25" bays that are also flat on the inside with no protrusions. If not, please consider using FS303 or FS304 instead.) |
