The Audioengine 5 is a high end 2.0 bookshelf system with built-in amplifiers for true two channel audio quality. Custom built, based on studio monitor designs. The tweeters are silk dome with Neodymium magnets while the woofers use Kevlar woven glass aramid composite with rubber surrounds. The A5 have a natural sounding midrange with lively and dynamic highs, but are also capable of producing tight punchy bass. Apart from all the sonic goodness, the A5s are also built with many useful features such as power port for iPod, front panel volume control, on/off switch, and line out.
